Depending on the configuration, the Hyundai i40 sedan will be equipped with a maximum of nine airbags, an electronic parking brake, heated steering wheel and all seats, parking sensors with a rear-view camera, a stability control system, a multimedia system with Bluetooth, voice control and built-in satellite navigation, as well as other equipment.

The Hyundai i40 engine range consists of four units. Two of them are no different from those equipped with a station wagon (115- and 136-horsepower diesel “fours” with a volume of 1.7 liters). The rest are petrol engines of 1.6 and 2.0 liters, developing 135 and 177 hp. With. respectively. Less powerful units “in the base” are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, and more powerful ones – with a 6-band automatic transmission.

The most economical i40 trims are those equipped with the ISG (Idle Stop & Go) system. With its help, diesel engines consume in the combined cycle only 3.6-3.8 liters per 100 kilometers, and gasoline engines – 5-5.7 liters.

Production of the i40 sedan has been established at the Hyundai plant in Ulsan (South Korea).
