Instead of retouching the exterior, the creators of the restyled Sonata focused on improving the trim levels of the sedan, especially for the American market. So, the standard equipment includes fog lights and heated seats, and as options you can still order power seats, alloy wheels, chrome door handles, leather interior trim and much more. The Hyundai Sonata engine range remained the same as before the restyling. True, engines and their characteristics can vary greatly from each other depending on the market. In Korea, for example, the car is available with a 2-liter naturally aspirated unit with a capacity of 172 hp. with., as well as with a 2-liter turbocharged Theta II Turbo GDI engine, issuing 271 “horses”. The motors can work both with a 6-speed manual gearbox and with a 6-band “automatic”.
