From a technical point of view, the Hyundai i40 is a design that has not changed after restyling, built on a platform with McPherson struts in front and a multi-link rear suspension. At the same time, the engineers reconfigured the steering, and as an option, the station wagon received rear electronically controlled shock absorbers.

The Hyundai 40 Wagon engine range includes both gasoline and diesel units. Petrol are represented by a 1.6-liter Gamma GDi, issuing 135 hp. With. power, 2-liter Nu GDi with 164 “horses” and 152-horsepower 2-liter Nu MPi. There is only one diesel unit, a 1.7-liter UII CRDi, but in two boost options – for 115 and 141 “horses”. As for gearboxes, gasoline engines are aggregated with 6-speed “mechanics” and “automatic”, while diesel engines, in addition to manual transmission, rely on a 7-speed DCT “robot” with two clutches.
