2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Owner's Manual

An interesting innovation is the “Green-Zone drive mode” function, which, when interacting with navigation, independently determines the “green zone” and automatically turns off the internal combustion engine while moving on electric power alone. Moreover, if there are such places in the planned route, then the car will be stocked up with energy in advance so that it is enough to overcome such sections.
But under the hood, everything is unchanged. The standard IONIQ Hybrid is powered by the same naturally aspirated 1.6 GDi (105 hp 147 Nm) Carr family engine and an associated 44 hp synchronous electric motor. 170 Nm powered by a small 1.56 kWh battery. There is also a plug-in version in the model line – a similar internal combustion engine, a more powerful electric motor (61 hp 170 Nm) and a more capacious battery (8.9 kWh). Such a car is capable of driving only on electricity for about 63 km (WLTP). However, the total power of the two modifications is identical – 141 hp. 265 Nm. Gearbox – 6-speed “robot” DCT.
