Inside, slight changes affected the interior design (air vents, design of the central tunnel), but the main ones were still a 10.25-inch dashboard instead of analog scales, as well as a 10.25-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia system (in the basic configuration – 8-inch, however, and in the “base” Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wireless). It is worth noting that the Kona can also be equipped with a voice recognition function suitable for setting the temperature, heated mirrors and steering wheel.

For the European version of the model, an extensive range of power plants is available. These are turbocharged gasoline 1.0 T-GDi (120 hp) and 1.6 T-GDi (197 hp), as well as a 1.6 CRDi turbodiesel (136 hp). Four-wheel drive for gasoline 1.6 is basic, for diesel it is an option. A 48-volt mild-hybrid system for the diesel engine is standard equipment, for a 1.0-liter gasoline engine it is an option; cars with such a makeweight are equipped with iMT “mechanics” with an electric clutch instead of a mechanical one.
