The interior of the Palisade has received its own unique design. The 10.25-inch touch screen of the multimedia system with navigation function is combined into a single cockpit with the driver’s dashboard, which, on request or configuration, can be either fully digital or classic – analog. On top of the center console is the climate control unit, under which the “automatic” control buttons take their place, to the right of which there is a “washer” for controlling various driving modes. At the same time, the level of equipment, the quality of finishes and applicable materials are quite comparable with more eminent German competitors, not to mention the Japanese. The only thing that confuses is the design of the steering wheel, which migrated from the Santa Fe, which, against the general background, looks somehow very simple.

But, despite all its significance and importance, the new flagship shares a platform with its younger brother. This means that, like the Santa Fe, the Palisade has basic front-wheel drive. Therefore, you will have to pay extra for the HTRAC all-wheel drive system (the rear axle is connected using a clutch). The crossover and “pneuma” are not allowed – only springs, although for some it looks like a “plus”, not a “minus”.

So far, two engines have been announced under the hood of the “big man”: a 3.8-liter gasoline naturally aspirated V6 and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel. Regardless of the type of engine, the car is equipped exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
