Modernization of the interior took place on a more modest scale, it concerns mainly the equipment of the model. So, the top versions of the i30 Wagon received a 7-inch information display on the dashboard, a 10.25-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia system (with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), as well as wireless charging for a smartphone.

The unchanged wheelbase (2650 mm) and overall length (4585 mm) mean that the luggage compartment volume has remained the same – 602 liters (according to the VDA methodology). If you fold the backs of the rear sofa, you get 1650 liters.

Significant changes concern the active assistants available in the European versions of the station wagon. Now i30 Wagon can be equipped with lane keeping (automatically positions the car in the center of the lane), blind spot monitoring (with automatic speed reduction to avoid collision) and emergency braking (now also recognizes pedestrians and cyclists). Moreover, the latter also works when reversing. In addition, a system has appeared that warns the delayed driver that the car in front has already begun to move.
